Adelaide:
It was the game that Sam Kerridge will look back on as one of his fondest AFL memories regardless of how long he is in the game.

Brisbane:
Simon Black will cement his status as Brisbane’s most decorated and greatest servant on Friday night at the Gabba without his great friend Jonathan Brown alongside him after his triple premiership teammate was rubbed out by the AFL’s match review panel.

Carlton:
The Blues have announced that they have re-signed Dennis Armfield to a new two-year contract that will keep him with the club through to the end of the 2015 season.

Collingwood:
Darren Jolly is free to play against Brisbane on Friday night after his collision with Sydney’s Ben McGlynn was cleared by the Match Review Panel.

Essendon:
The Bombers have taken their defensive game to another level just in time for a top-four clash against reigning premiers the Sydney Swans at the SCG on Saturday evening.

Fremantle:
Fremantle received a double-dose of good news on Monday, with star forward Michael Walters penning a long-term deal with the club and utility Alex Silvagni cleared of any wrongdoing by the AFL’s match review panel.

Geelong:
There will be no easy passage back into the senior team for Geelong’s injured stars, coach Chris Scott has warned.

Gold Coast:
Rejuvenated Sun Campbell Brown believes yesterday’s honourable loss to premiership favourites Hawthorn could prove the catalyst for the club to finally knock off one of the competition’s heavyweights in the form of Geelong on Saturday.

Greater Western Sydney:
Midfielder Dom Tyson admits it is getting tough heading into the Greater Western Sydney dressing rooms at the end of yet another loss.

Hawthorn:
Hawthorn’s Issac Smith should be pretty satisfied with his lot in life. He’s happy, healthy and could easily have been picked up by Melbourne.

Melbourne:
A defiant Mark Neeld asked for his rebuilding mission to be judged in a year after Melbourne was largely uncompetitive in a 90-point loss to Fremantle at Patersons Stadium.

North Melbourne:

Power captain Travis Boak has put the blowtorch on himself and the club’s on-ball brigade to stop the pathetic starts that are ruining Port Adelaide’s season.

Richmond:
Emerging Richmond midfielder Brandon Ellis is expected to return to the field after the Tigers’ bye, as he recovers from a minor hamstring strain.

St Kilda:
Contested possession is the main area that needs addressing before St Kilda’s game against North Melbourne, according to Jarryn Geary.

Sydney:
The Swans will be without Sam Reid for Saturday’s showdown with Essendon at the SCG, with the key forward ruled out for at least three weeks.

West Coast:
It took Cale Morton one running session to realise the stark difference in standards between his former club Melbourne and his new home of West Coast.

Western Bulldogs:
Bulldogs veteran Dale Morris says his team never lost belief and were “doing a lot of things right” during a losing streak of eight matches, broken by its stirring nine-point victory over St Kilda on Saturday.
